The Heart Behind Our FIR Sauna Carbon Fiber Heaters
Here’s the thing: we built these FIR sauna heaters because we kept hearing the same frustration. People wanted deep, even heat in tight spaces, but the options out there just felt bulky and inefficient. So, we set out to fix that. The core of our design is a high-output halogen element, snug inside a quartz tube. It’s all about delivering a shortwave infrared spectrum that’s focused and powerful.
The Power Under the Hood
These units are serious about heat. They run on 400V and pull between 1500W and 2500W of power. That’s a lot of muscle, packed into a surprisingly small package. The tube itself is just 300mm long and 10mm in diameter. That tiny footprint means you can squeeze serious heating power into a small sauna without having to rewire your whole house.
Why the Details Matter
Let’s talk about that carbon fiber coating. It’s not just for looks—it plays a real role. It acts as a secondary emitter, which broadens the infrared spectrum and evens out the heat. The result? No more of those annoying hot spots you get with bare-element heaters. And inside that quartz tube, a halogen fill gas keeps the filament stable, even when it’s screaming hot. That stability is what keeps these heaters from burning out too soon. Then there’s the R7s connector. We chose it for one reason: it’s tough. It gives you a solid, double-ended connection that can handle the high current without arcing or working itself loose over time. It’s the kind of detail that means your heater stays put, even when things get shaky from vibration and constant heating and cooling.
What It Feels Like in a Real Sauna
Step into a sauna with these heaters, and you’ll feel the difference right away. The warmth isn’t just heating the air—it penetrates, warming your body directly. The quartz tube heats up almost instantly, so you’re not waiting around. That high power density means you get a lot of heat from a small unit, but it does come with a trade-off. You have to plan for cooling and airflow. A 2500W heater throws off a ton of heat in a small space, and without proper ventilation, things can get too hot. But for engineers and builders, this heater is the real deal. It’s a simple, drop-in upgrade that’s compact, tough, and ready to wire up. It’s just a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to infrared heating.
