We built this carbon fiber heat lamp for one place: right on your PET bottle blowing line. It was designed to step in for standard halogen heaters when you need something compact, seriously hot, and ready to plug straight into the high-voltage setup your machines already run on. The whole point is simple: give the preform surface steady, controllable heat. So the stretch is even, the wall thickness stays consistent, and you don’t end up scorching the material.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Without the Overcomplication
This lamp runs at 400V and 2500W, packed into a 300mm tube. That combo was chosen on purpose. It matches the higher line voltages of industrial blowing machines, which helps by taking strain off the control gear and keeping wiring short and clean. And that 300mm length? It’s just practical. Long enough to cover the critical zone on the preform, but short enough to drop into tight reflector setups without fighting for space. Here’s the catch: 2500W at 400V means fast heat-up. That’s the upside. But it also means more ambient heat inside the machine. So your cooling and airflow need to be set up to keep the lamp, socket, and nearby parts in a safe temperature range.
What’s Inside: Halogen, Coating, and a Plug-and-Play Base
Inside, we use a halogen cycle design with a quartz envelope and a carbon fiber heating element. The halogen gas helps keep the element stable when things get seriously hot, and it reduces blackening over time—so the heat output stays consistent. The quartz envelope is coated to manage infrared output and keep the filament environment protected. For installation, it uses an R7s connector. That double-ended linear base gives you solid contact, can handle high current, and makes this lamp a straightforward drop-in replacement in your existing fixtures.
What It Feels Like on the PET Blowing Line
On a PET blowing line, timing is everything. You need heat that comes on fast, holds steady, and behaves predictably with the machine cycle. This lamp hits operating temperature quickly, so the heating window lines up with the cycle—no waiting, no lag. The heat profile is focused, which helps preforms stretch evenly.
